What the authority says
CDA reports continuing action against encroachments, unauthorized construction and non-conforming land use in Islamabad. Its Enforcement Directorate and Building Control formations are working with district authorities. The release says sealed premises remain sealed until violations and legal requirements are resolved; paying charges alone does not remove compliance obligations.
02
Check the exact premises before a transaction
For a shop, office or apartment, request the approved building plan, sanctioned use and any current sealing or de-sealing order. Match the unit and address on the documents to the property being offered. Ask the competent authority for written clarification if the seller’s explanation differs from its record. This is FPN buyer guidance.
03
Jurisdiction and limits
This is a CDA Islamabad release, not an FIA action or a notice applying automatically to Lahore. It does not identify every affected property or establish a new tax rate. Do not treat the general announcement as proof that a particular project is approved or has been sealed.

5 October update: Islamabad Expressway East figures
In a release posted 5 October whose body is dated 3 October, CDA says 377 structures were identified along Islamabad Expressway East for enforcement, including 281 commercial structures. It reports 58 sealed structures, with 34 on the Sohan–Iqbal Town stretch and 24 on the Korang Bridge–Korang Police Station–Gulberg Greens stretch. CDA also says 124 structures between Soan and Khanna Pull were marked for demolition, PKR 234.685 million had been collected through land-use conversion, construction-without-approval and de-sealing charges, and approximately PKR 3 billion remained recoverable under applicable by-laws. These figures are CDA's reported enforcement position and require property-specific verification.
